With people cancelling driving vacations and before the airlines pass along the costs, one of the clusters is looking to push people towards air travel while getting some money out of the local airport.

And people think with their stomachs. I book hotels based on bar food. And there are resources for great restaurants that fly under the radar. I live by “Roadfood”.

So maybe do a social media or video series on all of these great restaurants that you can get to from your market?

April Fools

Because of the thousands and thousands of licenses that have been lost and animals maimed by April Fools jokes over the years, every company has their own restrictions on what you’re allowed to do. Quite a few stations are doing gas cards on Friday the 1st. Cool: April Fuels. You acknowledged it and it’s a great prize.

I’ll have a bunch of AFD stuff that you can churn through on Monday. But I’m sure there’s something that you could do in all of it, if you wanted to.

Meanwhile, one of the stations is in a market where there’s a realtor who is all over TV and radio. So for April Fools, they’re going to present it as the city having sold the naming rights to a fairly iconic local landmark and there will be a photoshopped image of “him” on it.

Beat The Pump

To repeat myself, all that anyone cares about right now is gas. So, using one of the greatest contest methodologies known to Man (and Women), 92.5 XTU in Philly is having people Beat The Pump.
