Elon Musk is now the biggest shareholder of Twitter stock --73.5 million shares-- after shelling out around $3 billion dollars, and has a nine percent share of the company. And the stock made a huge move, gaining nearly 30-percent on Monday. Tuesday the stock dropped from around 53 to a bit less than 51, so we'll see if the stock holds up for the rest of the week... and also when Elon will be making changes --or other moves-- with his share of the company.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are *not* married. Turns out that although the pictures of their ceremony in Las Vegas after the Grammy Awards were posted all over social media, TMZ reported that the couple didn't have a marriage license and therefore the ceremony was not legally binding.
Looks like the folks who make the DeLorean are gonna make the classic "Back to the Future" car into an electric vehicle. The first "concept car" is supposed to be shown off in August at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. We'll see whether it's just an idea of what the car could be made into --or whether the company is actually gonna roll out a whole new vehicle with a new motor and the same iconic styling.
Show biz publications were out with the rumor yesterday that Will Smith’s talent agency --the Creative Artists Agency-- was going to dump him for his act of slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. An agency spokesperson denied the story. And to add a little tension, it turns out the agency is in the process of merging with the talent agency that represents Chris Rock...and the beat goes on.
Pretty cool idea: the British National Trust has announced that they'll be celebrating Sir Paul McCartney's 80th birthday on June 18th with a concert by new musicians at Paul's former home on Forthlin Road, in Liverpool.
The house is special not only because Paul lived there, but because he and John Lennon wrote several of the band's early hits at the house, including "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Love Me Do," in the living room. Paul's brother, Mike McCartney, said his older brother "would play music all round the house, including in the bathroom" and said he hoped "some of the magic rubs off" on the new musicians.
