If you’re in a market that’s about to get hit by heat, remember to push the “take care of your pets and don’t leave them or your KIDS (“you idiot” is assumed) in a hot car. Hot 89.9 in Ottawa actually did a version of this video but CLOSELY (note use of caps) monitored it with an EMT on-site.

This is the time of year that kids will do lemonade stands. Cool. Open up your social media and give them a place to promote it.

Fathers Day

This is from Q-102 in Sioux City. I really like the phrasing of this:

Fathers Day is coming and Q102 wants to give your Dad a chance to take you to Arnolds Park! Submit your pic of you and your Dad.... or Dads(and moms that do both roles)….

Grandparents Day

A Cumulus GM has this on the radar. It’s September 11 in 2022 and he’s looking at some kind of gallery promotion. On his Hit List of clients for prizing? A photography studio to do a family portrait. This would be an amazing prize for any family. Stick it on the List.

Poker Run

I was talking “casinos” with one of the stations yesterday. I love casinos because they can be so much more than just gambling. They have Food & Beverage so I’ve seen stations do every variety of expo at a client casino.

They also have mammoth parking lots. One of the Results Radio stations used a casino for the beginning and end location for a charity poker run with a bunch of weekend warrior bikers. And when they got back, the majority all went inside and had drinks.

All casinos want is that you get butts in the door. They’ll take care of the rest.
