This is absolutely outstanding. There is a particularly “cluttered” intersection in Portland so Jake and Danny from 98.7 The Bull have relocated there in their swanky station RV and are living there until it’s cleaned up.

The beauty of this is that they have activated the audience to come and help, and you can’t beat a station that’s activated the audience.

RV Tour

1992 to 1999 were monster years for KSFM in Sacramento. They had numbers that were not of-this-world. For Thanksgiving, Davey and Chris did something brilliant:

• They niched the “drive” and it was Operation Baby Love. The items they were collecting were for single mothers. Diapers. Formula. Wipes. Vitamins.
• Instead of sitting in a shopping mall for a four hour broadcast on a Saturday, they lived in an RV for a week and moved from (sold) location to location, setting up and moving on. They would move to the next morning’s location in the evening and stay in the RV all night. No “sticking you on a crane”. An RV? What RV client wouldn’t pony one up?

So, Stupid That It Would Work

So, many of your will at some point or another do a retro music feature whether it’s a mix show or “Saturday Night Dance Party” like Q in Tampa. What if you did a special one that’s all request, but they have to be faxed in.
