I’ve always hesitated with editing social media but I was looking at the Facebook page for one of the local affiliates and it had kind of veered off track. But, you should also find a way to acknowledge it. Wild in Tampa is directing people to local classes on CPR. Simple. Brilliant.

If you wanted to do something tangible and local, look into whether ALL of the schools and youth athletic programs have AED’s available. One of the CBS clusters made that their charitable push and was able to raise enough money through compelling fundraising that they got 18 of the units purchased and into community centers, hockey rinks and schools. And when I say “compelling”, maybe something like a charity softball game or football game?

If there are plenty of the defibs in public, maybe do the paramedic lesson on how to actually use one, though, in theory, teachers and coaches should have all been accredited in their use.
