I mentioned a Facebook post about “What was the first poster you ever hung on your wall?” and it jacked up my email for 8 days. Laura Daniels at Mix in Buffalo once tied it into their NKOTB giveaway.

Quite a few of you do them. It’s sometimes reminds me of when we started webcamming the studios; it proved to our audience that we actually have a pretty boring job. The stations that did it right, storyboarded it so there was stuff you might miss if you didn’t watch closely. With KSFM in Sacramento there was a guy in Production you could see in the background and every day he’d fall down and hurt himself and in one case, he set himself on fire. Kind of like this.

Now, granted, “How I Met Your Mother” was an abject failure so I wouldn’t look to it for guidance or ideas.

Rock The Sock

This sounds like a RHCP promotion.

I don’t need to get into why I was trolling Melissa Joan Hart’s Twitter account except that her attorneys have yet to put that on my No Fly List.

She was doing an awareness thing for a disease/malady that I had to look up it’s so obscure. BUT…there’s something about listeners decorating socks and posting the photos.

QEN did it for 5SOS in Birmingham.

It’s been a campaign for missing children.

Ingrid Michaelson does her own and uses them for interviews.

It’s a great name. We should find more ways to use it.
