Last Drift Standing

Those of you in markets that have snow know that even though it may warm up and rain, there’s still, always, that one pile of snow in the neighborhood that lasts and lasts.

So, a few years ago, the midday guy at WCCO here took a snap of the one at the end of his driveway and put a little flag on top. You had to go on his Facebook and guess when the flag would touch the pavement. Closest without going over won a Twins bobblehead that he had on a shelf.

It 'blowed' up. Topical/Silly will always win.

Diapering Ducks

April Fools is like weekend contesting: a good starting point is “What is everyone talking about?” A few years back in San Diego it was seal poop on the beach in La Jolla. So…”the good people of La Jolla diverted money away from their school lunch program and bought thousands of biodegradable diapers and volunteers were out this morning, diapering the seals….”

First, there’s no reason that brackets have to happen ONLY in March. One of the things we discovered with COVID is that they’re great all year-long. Beasley does great ones and BEN-FM in Philly is doing it with local brews. BEN's Brewery Battle (957benfm.com)
