My Favorite Positioning Statement

There was a guy named Cliff who had this gig before me. He’d programmed KGGI and then did “this” for Clifton for a few years and after we launched Wild 107.7 in San Francisco, he became PD and I glommed onto his job like a pilot fish on a shark. He owns this station up in Humboldt County and they’re a local monster. Their Grateful Dead show on Sunday night once pulled a 90 share, and their DJ, Digital Dan, was interviewed on The Today Show. Because of cancer, he’d lost his vocal cord and used his laptop to type in his breaks.

Doghters

First, we’ve all done dog brackets and galleries. People WILL submit/vote on photos of dogs. They most assuredly will, Ray. I saw “Howl Of A Dog” as a pet photo contest.

“Genres” of pets work too. Q-105 in Tampa did “Furry Co-Workers” when everyone relocated home in 2020. That was awwwwww…. Inspiring.

I saw a DJ bio who referred to her Doghter. She doesn’t have a human daughter but a dog daughter.

People DO love them some tacos. Taco Bell is fourth in Sales behind McD’s, Starbucks, Chik Filet and leading Wendy’s, Dunkin Donuts, Subway and Dominos. WiLD in Tampa is doing “Win $1000 In Pizza” right now. Now to be outdoor, up the road in Orlando Fly 103.1 is honoring Cinco de Mayo by giving one listener Tacos For A Year. Boom. If you can’t get that many, still try to get some tacos (gift cards) and do Taco Tag next Friday.
