Yet Another Faux’vernight Talent
From K-Bear in Anchorage:
The KBEAR is our longest employee…he has been standing guard over the radio station since 1995!
He moved from Seattle where he was hibernating at FAO Schwarz until relocating to Alaska.
The KBEAR loves country music and fiercely protects the hallways and he will bite anyone who tries to change the radio dial from 104.1 FM!
Pride
I’ve seen some stations that are already promoting their events. So, obviously along with imaging, having lists of events and the parties would be simple to do.
First, Googlizing the logo is a given.
Kiss in Albany had fun with spray chalk at the fest.
As exciting as having an SUV drive through the parade, getting on a float would be 1000X better. In Tampa, Orlando Davis rode on a float as street teams dashed alongside lobbing out “Same Love” shirts. Carina at Kiss in Phoenix built her own float for John ay & Rich. Here is Hot from DC. Gotta love the tutu on EB.
In Savannah, the street team for their night time event were draped in Christmas lights powered by battery packs.
Boom 97.3 did a Totally Gayties Weekend of dance music. The top 97 dance songs but not in order because, “Who said that countdowns need to be straight?”
Mac To School
For times that I can count (and I can count super high) I’ve seen stations come up with a name and take it to the client, who loves it and makes a buy. Which is happening somewhere to the east of me where a company takes old Mac’s, rebuilds, adds RAM and resells them. And the biz is booming.
The idea for this promotion on a News/Talk station is to have kids and spouses nominate a loved one who is going back to school after a long time away. And the station and client will ambush and surprise with a new computer for this new part of their life.
