One of the things we teach the promo team at street school is that they ALWAYS should drive in the left lane and always drive with the headlights on. Why? To be seen. Driving in the right lane, hiding behind the Meineke semi insures that only people directly behind you will see you.

Toms is one of the retailers that do buy one/we’ll donate one offers for shoes and charity.

Since everyone seemingly does backpacks and school supplies for back to school, what if you collected some shoes for low-income kids.

Maybe do “Feet & Greet”. Donate new or gently-used shoes and be in the running for backstage passes. Also a great opportunity to tie in a box store or chain of footwear retailers

Slip A Garter That Could Win A Diamond

One of the stations has a jewelry store that wants, wait for it, foot traffic. The idea was that everyone who comes in mentions the afternoon guy would get something. What if you got a mannequin and on its leg were a hundred garters? You come in, say you heard it from your station, and you get to slide off a garter. Written UNDER the garter is a discount or the name of a prize.
