Family Five Packs
No one does Family Four Packs because of something that Coleman Research published. We do them because we got 200 tickets to some kid’s event and we need to give them away.
One of the stations is going to “adjust their cash contest for inflation” and double the money on Fridays. “A thousand dollars just doesn’t go as far as it used to…”
Cool. Add a ticket to the pack and announced that you’ve made the same adjustment.
Free AC
KKLZ in Las Vegas has been using waterpark tickets as part of their Beat The Heat promotion, and they do, in fact, have heat to beat. Everyone qualifies for an AC unit. That…is a great prize.
Two Buck Gas
Since February when the price of gas moved into Stoopidville, we’ve all done gas cards and rebranding of contests. Which is good. But only KRBE has gone and done a gas pumping event. Which was great.

On Sunday a non-Radio entity, as a marketing tool, went and took over a gas station near me. It was hard to miss since the lines reached all the way down 61 to Alina Health.
I only got one shot and it was while I was illegally parked on the grass median, but they definitely had the Radio System down. Entry/exit flow, people working the cars, product/service sampling and police “cooperation”.
It doesn’t have to be $25 a car in savings. Kiss in Dallas did it with $10 per car and would still get 106 cars showing up quickly for the free fuel.
Right now if you want to truly make a marketing impact for a minimal investment, gas is it.
