Because a static, un-changed website is a sad thing indeed, here are some simple, less-simple, and darn-near complicated examples of what people have done to make their sites more Hallow-rific. www.b105.com, www.q104.com, www.q104.ca, www.y94.com, www.hothits957.com
For A "Lunch To Go" Kind Of Client
I don't think there's a workplace that doesn't have a refrigerator in the break room that is filled with old and abandoned lunches.
Any time you stick "Let's Make A" in front of an item/object and the word "Deal", you generally have a great promotion. Kennedy from Mix in Boston did "Let's Make A Glove Compartment Deal" at remotes. She'd name an item like "A pen from a hotel" and have people dash to their cars to find one. First one back, wins.
So, as a mid-day promotion you do "Let's Make A Lunchroom Frig Deal". The announcer has a Chinese takeout carton with lots of pieces of paper in it. (The carton was in the frig from 1986 to 2007 when it finally was un-earthed by the great power outage thaw of Christmas '07) The announcer shakes it up, plucks out a piece of paper and reads what's on it. "Chicken noodle alphabet soup in a Tupperware container." The first listener to rush to their company breakroom frig, find it, take a cellphone pic and email it in, wins something even nummier and fresher, from the sponsoring restaurant or deli.
WOW in Boise did something similar when they gave away a buttload(TM) of beef to the person who could figure out what the UFO (Unidentified Frozen Object" was in the company frig. (They took a tupperware container with some food, put it in their and continually sprayed it down until it was a barely recognizable frozen mass with just a hint of orangeish brown showing through the ice)
