"Wicked"
This is big WHEREVER it plays. Sells out two week engagements overnight. I was in Greenville a month ago and cabbing to a hotel in the early evening. The sidewalks were jammed with crowds flowing in one direction. Park lots all had people with batons waving people in and "Event Parking (jacked up rate)" signs.
I asked the driver, who was in town? I was thinking Monster Trucks or Kenny Chesney or Luda...nope..."Wicked". Ten day run.
One of the stations has some tickets. What happened to the witch? She melted. So they're getting a hotel banquet ice carver to "do" a witch with a big hat.
This will be webcammed next Monday. All this weekend? Log on and guess the time it will take for her to puddle-ize.
Brooks & Dunn
One of the station's has "The Last Rodeo" tour coming through. A couple of ideas for this show? The Last Date: a couple's last night out before getting their marriage annulled. And "The Last Throw For The Big Show". Stick the morning host on a mechanical bull after opening up the phones for the audience to predict how long he can stay on. Closest without going over, wins.
Elton Dad
One of the stations has tickets plus backstage passes for an Elton show.
He was known for some pretty gawdy stagewear back in the 70's. The idea would be that you post some shots from these shows (the duck at Met Stadium stands out) and have listeners try to replicate them. Post and vote. And the contestants must all be men.
