Goo Goo For Gaga
A few of the stations like Kiss in Dallas have done Goo Goo 4 Gaga and had a child sing pop songs. ID the artist and title to win.
Rob Ryan with CC/Colorado Springs suggests that if you haven't done Baby Idol (and to be honest, even if you have) "Goo Goo For Gaga" would be great name for a contest that would have women sending in pics of their infants and then voting.
On the other hand, women aren't really that proud of their kids and probably you'd get like three people who would enter. Stick the Gaga tickets in the VIP Club...
"Patrol" vs. "Enforcers"
First, having a street team is a still a fundamental. ANY questions about recruiting or training, let me know.
One of the stations is looking to change the way they identify their team."Patrol" is good. If you have something that will be the focus like pools or lakes or beaches.
They're considering "Summer Fun Enforcers". It's got a hook to it. Almost like, when they show up, you WILL have fun. Perceived threat of violence is a winner every time
Still Hope For Terrestrial Radio
Sometimes with all of the flow charts and TPS reports it's possible to take something as basic and simple as Radio Promotions and liken it to Plasma Physics.
This is the worst year for pollen in decades. It's blanketing everything. Houses, lawns, trees...and cars have turned yellow.
So, 106.1 Kiss FM in Dallas declared Pollen Aid and went and did free carwashes.
The idea came from the mind(?) of Chris Taylor at Q in Memphis where they also did it and got one TV story the day BEFORE the event.
Gotta get back to doing my Q3 digital projections.
