A recap from the lovely and lithe Kate McGwire at Mix in Boise: It went fantastic! The guy thought he was being punk'd and didn't believe his wife the entire limo ride. Then when they pulled up in front of the clinic it hit him. He didn't so much freak out, but needed a moment to process it. Since his wife was sitting in front of him pregnant with their 4 children he realized it was probably for the best. He just seemed shell shocked. Great video and pics! We are going to talk to him today for a recap. Thank you so much for the idea! It was all anyone was talking about last week!

Ticket Bandit

Proving once-again that when you have a good enough lure, people will market your station Fugtive-style. Y-94 in Fargo had a pair of tickets to Bieber stolen from the station and are now begging for forgiveness from a mall client:

We did the Y94 Ticket Bandit on Friday for the sold-out Justin Bieber tickets. Our bandit called in once an hour from different locations giving clues to where he was...he was eventually found at the mall around 5:30pm.

This was huge huge huge - kids at the mall, kids at target, kids at parks, theaters all asking "Are you the Y94 Justin Bieber Ticket Bandit?"

Rusty, from the mall called and will probably be calling Nancy/John on Monday...I think he assumes we were telling people to go to the mall all day which isn't exactly the case...he's not really mad, but he seemed a bit put off because he was "out of the loop" - I think he is a little confused by how the contest worked.

Anyway, here's a heads up that he'll be calling - I apologized for any inconvenience, but also reminded him that we're not in control of what kids "interpret"...people were all over town, so it wasn't just the mall that was affected.

Overall great contest, facebook was huge, phone lines were crazy all day (so much so, I couldn't answer them anymore...).
