One Tweet Summer
The Sumbrella for Hot 89.9 in Ottawa. They have a Smart Car to award and will have their Tweet Team out and about. The first 50 people to follow the tweets to their daily location get prizes and qualify http://www.hot899.com/inside.asp?id=2985&mn=2&cc=1
Arithmetickets
While "designated caller when we roll the touch tones" rocks, there are other things you can do. Like pop quizzing the listeners.
"Toby Keith has nine bunks on his bus. If the crew each drinks three bottles of beer, how many bottles should the caterer put on ice during the load out?"
"Lady Gaga sold out (venue) of 14,500 tickets at $50 a ticket. The promoter gave 100 tickets to (your station). How much is Gaga banking?"
Sips For Tips
A celebrity bartender event from WDVD in Detroit. Great promotions almost always have great names. Like this http://www.963wdvd.com//Article.asp?id=1849095
The Listenerhood Of The Traveling Tee's
This is great. Seriously great. From 93Q in Syracuse. Hits and views have skyrocketed http://www.93q.com/article.asp?id=1850298
Pool Parties
KLUC in Las Vegas was a part of Rehab at the HRC from the very beginning. Pools are great venues for pretty much any kind of event. I did an indoor pool event for a cruise send-off in January in Minneapolis. A couple of the stations have done similar indoor family events at pools during the winter.
Q in Memphis averaging 500 every Saturday at their Harrah's Heatwave events. Pics at http://www.q1075.com/joomla2010/index.php/q-photos?func=viewcategory&catid=221
