Fly in Albany just made great use of some at a Bieber show. The beauty of body patches is the speed that you can get them out. Just stand at the entrances, peel and slap. Perfect for backstage/frontrow spotting. The best application I ever saw was with KUBE in Seattle. They did a different design for every show (ie: artists on the patches) but also had each patch individually numbered for bounceback on-air contesting the next day. Even if you don't get spotted and win at the show, listen for your number at the :8's all day long to win.

Van Bandit

So...what do you do when one of your vehicles spontaneously combusts in afternoon traffic? Blame it on a felon called The Van Bandit who torched it and stole an envelope with passes and airplane tickets to the Jay Z/Eminem show in New York. Supa Dave from Hot 98.1 called an audible on the fly, threw together a five day condensed Fugitive and turned Greenville upside down:

We ended in the brand new Apple store in our Mall and the guys said there had been people there since Wednesday asking people if they were "The Hot 98-1 Van Bandit"

What have I learned from this? If a jock is talking about something people give a s#!t about, they will listen... haha!

Football Widows

One of the Hot AC's has a beer distributor that is ponying up a schedule and some promotional dollars for a football promotion geared towards the female audience.

It's incredibly sexist to make a sweeping comment that women don't like football. So the idea we pitched and was bought, was to do an on-line Pick The Winners board every week. VIP's register and pick all the winners of that upcoming Sunday and Monday. Boyfriends, husbands, brothers are encouraged to help. A weekly winner gets to spend the NEXT Sunday at a spa. One of the weekly winners will spend Superbowl Sunday in a limo going to NYC to go shopping with some friends.
