Shirt Backs
Many of you have done sayings or catch phrases on the backs of your station shirts. Michael Martin moved his daughter into a dorm this past weekend and was wearing a shirt from an Alternative band. It said "I Hate Your Face" on the front. He got no-less then 50 thumbs-up from the students.
Facebook Wrangler
One of the stations has some Lady Antebellum tickets. The plan? The Lady A List. The listener who can add the most friends to the stations list on Facebook will get the tickets.
We've done everything to bribe people to join our social networks. Why not just incentivize it for the listeners and have THEM do all the work. With a Rhythm or CHR, I think "Facebook Pimp" could work too.
Gagacaching
The Minnesota State Fair was a couple of weeks ago. This is arguably the biggest station promotion of the year if you're in the Twin Cities. Twelve days live in front of 1.3 million people. Not a remote; it's live DJ's doing their shifts for the masses.
Morning shows traditionally go out and do the mid-days on the two Saturdays. This year Dave Ryan hid a pair of Gaga tickets and directed people via tweet to their location. Kind of like One Tweet Summer that Hot in Ottawa is doing for concert tickets.
Little Round Bieber Heads
The New York State Fair coincidentally started the same weekend. 93Q in Syracuse went out on the grounds every day and hid 15 little medallions on the fairgrounds. Find. Return. Win a prize and get entered into a drawing for a flyaway to see him in San Diego.
