Halloween-izing The Website
Last year was a tie between Wired in Philly and KZIA in Cedar Rapids for which station did the best job of reflecting the vibe. A couple of projects that would be good would be to get photos of your airstaff from when they were kids and were dressed up for Halloween. Change their jock photos. Another project for an intern would be to research and find shots of artists and celebrities from when they were kids and in costume. Post them, ID them, and win prizes. And next? Pictures of the airstaff and celebrities from when they were children and sitting on Santa's lap.
A Reminder Of The "And Then" Theory Of Hoops
Got to the bottom of my 24 pack of Coors Lite. There was a little silver ticket at the bottom that could winVikings tickets. And since they're going make a ridiculous comeback and go on to win the Superbowl, I figured I'd enter.
So I went to the website and then I filled out an age authenticator (makes sense: beer) and then I clicked in, and then I had to fill out another age authenticator and then I got to a page where I had to give them info and create a password, and then I had to enter the password and then I quit. Too much work. A good litmus test for your web contests.
Animal Shelters
I've seen this pop up no less then three times on news services in the past week. Because of the economy, many families can't afford to care for their pets and are dropping them off at shelters, which are becoming increasingly overwhelmed. Great opportunity for a fundraiser, that you could easily being some clients in on. Pets are a MUTHER of a hot button. This could be large.
