A Time-Killing, Hit-Driving Football Bit
http://www.brmb.co.uk/Article.asp?id=1905945 is the link to an on-line game that BRMB in sunny Birmingham, England is doing for soccer/football. Change this to a fieldgoal and have a drawing for tickets, and you could get some people sitting on your website all day booting the ball.
Since most Radio web promotions involve clicking on a Subway logo to enter for a six inch sandwich, stuff like this, or the "Shoot The Duck" gallery that WOW did in Boise for a hunting package, REALLY stands out.
Office Hottie
The ZOO at KLUC was discussing a topic about how one in seven people have slept with their boss. This spun into Hottest Boss. The following week? Office Hottie. It was a morning show contest but was originally done as a station promotion at The Beat in Vancouver.
The concept was very simple and I think the whole thing came together in two minutes.
"You know, I think EVERY workplace has one uber hot employee."
"Cool. Let's do a pageant and have people nominate their hot co-worker"
"Awesome. I'll get Sales on it today"
It was Rocket Science and it was huge. (Not that there's anything wrong with The At-Work Network, but there are probably other ways to market to the nesters)
